Beach Nudes – Unique Monotype Pieces
This series of beach nude prints was created on the occasion of my participation in the group exhibition "NUDES" at the Burkhard Eikelmann Gallery, Düsseldorf-Oberkassel. I draw the inspiration for the "Beach Nudes" from nude drawings. These are created directly on the beach or on the riverbank or in large format in my studio.I use cut-outs and miniatures of the best sketches and create new compositions on smaller formats.Are you familiar with the monotype technique I use here? This is a printing technique in which each impression with a matrix is created only once. As a result, each print in this series is unique. I love creating them. I paint spontaneously on the matrices I have created and then also on the pictures. I let chance play a part in printing. Classic oil paints are combined with street art spray techniques.
